Were you cut from the town travel team and would like more than a recreational program, We Got You! Our winter league will offer ONE PRACTICE during the week on Monday or Thursday and ONE GAME on Saturdays during January and February 2025. Athletes will be encouraged to take risks and try new skills during game play. Come get better with us this winter and work on your craft!

Basketball Skill Development Class

November / December 2024
Basketball Skills Class - Mondays (K-2nd 5:00p-6:00p), (3rd-5th 6:00p-7:00p), (6th-8th 7:00p-8:00p). (4 sessions $99 & 8 sessions $175)

Program Description

Vale CO-OP Skill Development, focuses on fundamental skills which are acquired through intentional focus and repetition such as shooting, ball handling and Read & React offensive skills. A serious player may work on these about 2-5 hours per day depending on ability, age and specific goals. Hard skill improvement is linked to investment of time.  This class is conducive to beginner, or advanced players, as each athlete will push themselves outside of their comfort zone while working towards game speed reps. Let's get to work and close the gap.

After School Program Monday/Wednesday 3:00pm-6:00pm October 2nd, 2024- June 4th, 2025

Program Description

After-school programs at community centers can offer a variety of benefits for children and youth, including: 

  • Safe space

  • After-school programs can provide a safe place for children and youth to learn, try new activities, and develop new skills. 

  • Social and emotional development

  • After-school programs can help children and youth develop social and emotional competencies, such as prosocial behavior, motivation, and self-worth. 

  • Academic support

  • After-school programs can provide academic support and enrichment that complements a student's regular academic program. 

  • Exposure to different kids

  • After-school programs run by community centers can help children get to know kids from different schools, which can help to foster positive relationships with peers and reduce risk factors that lead to social challenges. 

  • More adult supervision

  • After-school programs at community centers typically have more adult supervision than school playgrounds or parks.

  • Your division is based on grade level during 2024-2025 school year

  • No one is cut. All registrants make a team. Coaches rate players and a draft is held to select players.

  • 1 practice and 1 game weekly.

  • Games on Saturdays are from 9am-2pm

  • Practices start week of 6/30/2025

  • Games start 7/5/2025

  • League run 6/30/2025-8/16/2025

  • 6 games and 6 practices guaranteed.
     

Summer Basketball Camps 2025

  • Camp Week 1: June 23rd-27th, 2025 Mon-Fri 9:00am-3:00pm ($300)

Program Description

Our coaches will teach both basic and advanced techniques that are important on both sides of the ball. The skills include, but are not limited to, dribbling, shooting, passing, defensive positioning, and more! We will also play a variety of games including Knock Out, Money Basket, and Team Competitions.

Program Description

These sessions will cover serving skill training such as: serving technique (float, jump float, and jump serve). We will focus on efficiency of movement, proper timing, and placement of the ball to ensure a consistent serve. In addition to all other skills learned, this clinic will cover individual skill training such as: approach, arm swing.

These sessions will also cover defensive movements, diving/rolling, and learning to be aggressive to make sure the ball does not hit the floor. Come learn to be aggressive on defense; we want to teach your athlete effective communication and how to pursue balls. Passing and Defense classes will also include Serve Receive techniques and training.
